Equestrian competitions for the Governor’s Cup have opened in Kursk

The head of the region Roman Starovoit took part in the opening ceremony on November 19. 110 couples from seven regions are fighting for the main trophy. The nightingale region is represented by 40 people, among whom there are leading athletes, the regional administration reported.
“This event brought together a wide variety of participants, from young to adult athletes who have achieved significant victories,” said Vladimir Beletsky, head coach of the Russian equestrian team.
“It’s nice that we have created a modern base for horseback riding. Equestrian sport is a wonderful and exciting sport, it gives a lot of positive energy to participants and spectators,” said Roman Starovoit at the opening of the competition.
The head of the region also discussed with representatives of the Russian Equestrian Federation further cooperation and holding all-Russian tournaments in the Kursk region.
