Yuriy Us was a participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Under his leadership, a protective sarcophagus was erected at the nuclear power plant. Us returned to the Kaluga region only after the work was completely completed.
Shapsha noted that Yuri Us made a significant contribution to the development of the Kaluga region. Under his leadership, industrial facilities operating in the region were built, as well as social facilities and residential neighborhoods. The farewell to the engineer will take place on November 13, the administration of the Obninsk Municipal Municipality reported.
