Energodar announced the danger of destruction of industrial facilities

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently not inflicting systemic strikes on Energodar in the Zaporozhye region, however, the risk of destruction of industrial facilities remains, declared the head of the military-civilian administration of the city, Eduard Senovoz.
“As for industrial facilities, there are still cases of shelling, they are non-systemic in nature, which causes concern among the population, the danger of destruction of industrial facilities remains,” he said.
The energy infrastructure is badly worn out and damaged due to shelling by the Ukrainian side, but the supply of heat and electricity to the population is ensured, Senovoz added.
The city of Energodar, as well as the ZNPP located in it, are regularly shelled by the Ukrainian army. In early October, after the Zaporozhye region became part of Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to take the plant facilities into federal ownership and create the Zaporozhye NPP FSUE to ensure the safety of nuclear facilities.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
