Energia’s sports director summed up the results of the playoffs

The Ivanovo Energia basketball players finished playing in the playoffs and regular championship of the Super League for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Ivanovo showed average results during the 2023-2024 season, settling in the second half of the standings. At the end of the first part of the season, Energia took 10th place, ahead of only obvious outsiders. In the second stage, Energia won 4 victories in a row and advanced to the playoffs, where they did not perform in the best way.
In the Super League playoffs, the Ivanovo Energia basketball players met with Spartak from Noginsk and failed to advance to the next round. In the first meeting, Ivanovo’s “Energia” won and went to Noginsk with a reserve, but the “tigresses” were unable to maintain their advantage and were eliminated from the fight for the trophy. Thus, “Energia” went to the tournament, where the teams will compete for places from 9 to 13.
Energia sports director Evgeny Snigirev summed up the results of the regular season and playoffs.
“We all experienced great disappointment after the unsuccessful game in Noginsk. Unfortunately, we were unable to fulfill the task we had set for ourselves – to be among the eight best teams in the Super League. We understand how worried the fans were and apologize! Now, according to the Competition Regulations, we have to compete in two rounds of the final stage for 9-13 places,” said Evgeniy.
