“Energia” won the first ever victory in the Super League playoffs

Basketball players from Ivanovo “Energia” continue to compete in the Russian Championship among Super League teams for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Ivanovo showed average results during the 2023-2024 season, taking 10th place in the first stage standings. Based on the results of 24 matches played, “Energia” was able to beat only obvious outsiders representing the Rostov region, Stavropol region and Novocherkassk. In the second stage, the black-and-orange performed much more successfully and for the first time in history secured participation in the Super League playoffs.
On March 26, “Energia” began the round of 1/8 finals against “Spartak” from Noginsk and was able to beat the favorite, making an excellent start for the return match, which will take place on the red-white court. Success in the home match against Spartak will go down in the history of the recreated Energia, which previously tried to make it to the Super League playoffs for two seasons in a row. The debut in the knockout matches was a great success and was remembered for the historic victory.
