Basketball players from Ivanovo “Energia” continue to compete in the regular championship of the Super League for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Ivanovo now occupies a place in the middle of the standings and cannot yet compete with its rivals, who have settled among the strongest representatives of the league. For a long time, “Energia” took 8th position and fulfilled the intermediate task of reaching the playoffs, but recently the “tigresses” began to perform much worse.
A series of three defeats in a row made itself felt and “Energia” dropped to 10th place in the standings, ahead only of its rivals from the Stavropol Territory and the Rostov Region. At the moment, the 8th place is occupied by the team from Kazan, which was ahead of Energia thanks to its victory in a head-to-head meeting that happened quite recently. “Kazanochka” was ahead of the “tigresses” due to the highest percentage of victories. If the black-and-orange were successful in 42% of matches, then “Kazanochka” won in 45% of matches.
Energia will play the next match of the regular season on February 15. The black-and-orange will host the backup team of MBA from Moscow at their home arena.
