Basketball players from Ivanovo “Energia” 14 started in official matches of the 2023-2024 season. The Tigresses began the season with matches in the qualifying stage of the Berlin Cup, which takes place from September 14 to 16 at the Palace of Team Sports located in Ivanovo. In the first official match of the 2023-2024 season, Energia Ivanovo won a convincing victory with a score of 84:37 over their rivals from BC Platov.
On September 15, the black-and-orange played the second match of the qualifying round of the Russian Cup, where they met against the “Vladimir Lionesses” – debutantes of professional basketball, who declared themselves during the summer training camp.
The Ivanovo basketball players were unable to please their loyal fans who had gathered in the stands of the Palace of Game Sports and were defeated with a score of 56:49. The defeat from the Vladimir Lionesses put an end to Energia’s ambitions to compete in the Final Six of the Berlin Cup.
On September 16, Ivanovo “Energia” will play the final match of the Berlin Cup. The black-and-orange will play against Dynamo-Farm from Kursk. The start of the match is scheduled for 14:00 Moscow time.
