Emerson signs for West Ham (official)

Chelsea’s Italian full-back Emerson Palmieri has signed with West Ham for four years and an optional year, announced the English club on Tuesday. The amount of the transfer of the defender who was loaned to Lyon last season has not been communicated, but the compensation would approach 18 million euros according to the specialized press. The Italian international, 27 caps and reigning European champion with the Azzurri, had taken part in 29 Ligue 1 games with Olympique Lyonnais in 2021-2022, scoring once. “It’s a big challenge for me, it’s a big team so I’m very happy to be here and I’m ready”said Emerson, 28. “He is an experienced player with a good pedigree, who has had success both at club and international level in recent years”greeted his new coach, David Moyes.
