According to the government of Senegal, during the protests, nine people were killed and many were injured. “In this regard, the embassy strongly recommends that Russian citizens refrain from traveling to Senegal in the near future, and citizens living in the country not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary, to avoid crowded places,” the embassy said in a statement.
