Elton John sings in preview on a Cannes beach Hold Me Closer, his duet with Britney Spears

On holiday on the Côte d’Azur, Elton John took the opportunity to test the reactions of the public to its next title three days before its release. Tuesday August 23, the British artist sang Hold Me Closer from the terrace of the restaurant La Guérite, in Cannes, where he has his habits.

Delayed for a week, the title is a remix of his 1971 hit Tiny Dancerin collaboration with Britney Spears and will be released on Friday August 26th. This is the first new title of the interpreter of Toxic since 2016.

In the video, posted on his Instagram account, we see Elton John, in vacation outfit, but still with his colored glasses, sing the title in front of a crowd of cell phones. Far from the technical comfort of the stadiums in which he is used to performing, the singer puts his voice, somehow, above the music played by the speakers.

A few days ago, the British artist, who celebrated his 75th birthday in March, unveiled a first excerpt from the song on his TikTok account, accompanied by a childish visual. The interpreter of Your song poses in front of a piano, her face turned towards the camera, while Britney Spears is dressed in a feathered pink dance outfit.
