Music producer and songwriter Tom Bell died on December 22 in the US state of Washington. This was reported by the media. Bell wrote songs for Elton John and other famous artists.
Tom Bell has passed away at the age of 79.
Bell was born in Jamaica to a family of musicians and has been playing piano since the age of 4. His songs have been performed by, among others, Teddy Pendergrass, Little Anthony and the Imperials and David Byrne.
The songwriter was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Producer of 1975 and received a star on the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame in 1993.
