Elton John explains why he left Twitter

British singer and songwriter Elton John has announced that he will stop using Twitter due to the new policy of the social network.
According to him, his work was dedicated to “to bring people together.”
“I am sad to see how disinformation is being used to divide our world. I have decided not to use Twitter anymore due to recent policy changes that will allow disinformation to proliferate without any control,” he tweeted before leaving.
The new owner of the social network, Elon Musk, reacted quickly enough, expressing disappointment.
“I love your music. Hope you come back. Are you worried about any specific misinformation?” he wrote.
Musk acquired Twitter in late October 2022 for $44 billion. After the deal, the company began mass layoffs of employees, and censorship was also weakened.
In July, Elton John announced the termination of the concert activity.
