Elena Isinbaeva removed a joint photo with Putin from social networks

The photo of her with Vladimir Putin has disappeared from the social networks of Olympic champion Elena Isinbayeva. According to media reports, this photo was published on November 17, 2017, when Isinbayeva officially announced her affiliation with Putin’s team before the 2018 presidential elections.
“I’m on the Putin Team,” the athlete proudly wrote under a joint photo with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The photo itself was taken during the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, when Elena Isinbayeva was acting mayor of the Olympic village, and Vladimir Putin came to see how the athletes lived. Isinbayeva, wearing boots with fur trim, showed the president the local “village” library.
And now it’s impossible to find this photo of her on Isinbayeva’s page. It is unclear when and why this photo with the Russian President became unacceptable for her media image. Apparently, a “man of the world,” as the athlete calls herself, is not entitled to this.
The scandal surrounding Elena Isinbayeva broke out this summer. First, the Spanish media published photographs of the athlete from the island of Tenerife, where the Olympic champion, it turns out, had been living recently. And then the IOC reported on the results of checking Isinbayeva’s “reliability” and came to the conclusion that Elena did not support the SVO and had nothing to do with the Russian army. The athlete herself stated on social networks that she is a “man of peace,” and the military rank of major, awarded to her by Minister Shoigu, is just a fiction, “nominal.”
