Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova failed to win the final match of the WTA-250 tournament in Cleveland (USA), reports the Championship.
Sarah Sorribes-Tormo of Spain, ranked 95th in the WTA ranking, became Alexandrova’s rival. The Russian lost in three sets, and won the first. The meeting ended with the score 6:3, 4:6, 4:6. The match lasted almost 2 and a half hours.
The prize fund of the tournament was $271,363. Now Ekaterina is preparing for the start of the US Open, where her opponent will be the representative of Canada, Leila Fernandez.
