Egypt accuses Israel of delaying humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip

Humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip is being delayed due to Israeli restrictions, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said.
“Aid trucks are waiting too long before leaving for the Gaza Strip due to Israeli measures,” the minister said at a press conference with Irish Foreign and Defense Minister Simon Coveney (quote according to TASS). He also called on the international community to make efforts “to ensure public access [анклава] for help.”
On the afternoon of November 15, the Israeli army again suspended military operations in one of the northern areas of the Gaza Strip for humanitarian purposes. On November 9, US President Joe Biden announced an agreement with Israel on daily humanitarian pauses. The agreement allows for the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza and safe passage for civilians wishing to leave the conflict zone.
The Israel Defense Forces began carrying out strikes in the Gaza Strip after Hamas militants attacked the southern parts of the country on October 7. About 1,200 people were killed in the attack, and more than 200 were taken hostage by the militants. The death toll from Israeli strikes on the enclave has exceeded 11,000.
Earlier, the second group of 98 Russian citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip came back in Russia. The plane of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with the first group of 70 people evacuated from the Gaza Strip landed at Moscow’s Domodedovo on November 13. In the Kremlin notedthat Russia also helps citizens of the Russian Federation, the CIS and even other countries who have asked for help in evacuating from Gaza.
