Egor Creed filed a lawsuit against Ekaterina Mizulina: “I’m not a scammer”

The defamation lawsuit concerns her performance

Popular singer and blogger Yegor Creed filed a lawsuit against member of the Public Chamber, head of the Safe Internet League Ekaterina Mizulina. The daughter of Senator Elena Mizulina remembered the artist with an unkind word back in the spring, and in the end he decided to sue his counterpart.

As MK learned, Creed’s statement of claim for the protection of honor and dignity was received by the Zamoskvoretsky Court of the capital. The claims are addressed both to Mizulina herself and to the Safe Internet League association, which she heads. The case has not yet been accepted for proceedings, and the amount of material claims has not been specified. As for their essence, it can be assumed that Creed was outraged by Mizulina’s public speech in April of this year, dedicated to blocking the accounts of a number of large streamers on the Twitch site. The singer was also named among those who were denied access to the resource, and a fighter against illegal content called him “the main scammer in the country.” Since “scammer” is translated from English as “scammer,” it is not difficult to guess that this characteristic offended Creed.

Let us note that this is not the first time that the public’s favorite does not ignore the “pins” addressed to him. In fact, not long ago he won a defamation claim against a telegram channel after journalists blacklisted him for information gypsies and announced an upcoming audit for tax evasion. The second lawsuit against the same Internet resource is still being considered: Creed was credited with receiving a fabulous fee for participating in the series of lessons “Conversations about Important Things.” In addition, the musician is trying through the court to overturn the decision of Roskomnadzor to block his channel, which Mizulina just mentioned. However, the artist also has to defend himself: public figure Alexander Morozov filed a lawsuit demanding the closure of Creed’s YouTube channel, which allegedly advertises antisocial behavior.
