Efremov withdrew the petition to replace the term with forced labor

Actor Mikhail Efremov addressed to the court with a request to terminate the proceedings on his petition to replace part of the punishment with forced labor.
He submitted the document in January, what is the reason for the refusal, is still unknown.
His lawyer Roman Filippov informedwho is unaware of the situation. He explained that other human rights activists are involved in the petition.

Mikhail Efremov was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison due to a fatal accident in the center of Moscow. He served 2.5 years and hoped to replace the remaining term with forced labor. The son of the driver who died in the accident spoke out against the mitigation of punishment.
