In the 2023-2024 academic year, the format of education in the schools of the Shebekinsky district will remain remote due to the proximity to the border with Ukraine and daily shelling, said the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov. Over the past day, on August 4, according to the governor, nine arrivals were recorded in the Shebekinsky district, more than 70 in the entire Belgorod region.
During the live broadcast, a resident of the Shebekinsky district turned to Vyacheslav Gladkov with a request to clarify the format of education in schools in the upcoming academic year. The governor said that it is still impossible to return full-time education in Shebekino schools due to the proximity to the border and the daily shelling of the district.
“We understand the range of projectiles and mines. This does not allow us to introduce face-to-face training. Therefore, in the new academic year, full-time education in Shebekin schools, unfortunately, is impossible, ”said Mr. Gladkov (quoted from Bel.ru).

The largest number of arrivals was recorded in the Volokonovsky district. 33 mortar and 3 artillery shells were fired on the outskirts of the Stary farmstead, Mr. Gladkov claims. Two arrivals were recorded in the Shebekinsky urban district in the village of Surkovo, in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka and the Pankov farm – seven mortar shells each.
In addition, according to Vyacheslav Gladkov, two grenades were dropped from a drone in the village of Zhuravlevka, Belgorod District, and one in the village of Solntsevka. In the Valuisky urban district in the village of Novopetrovka, two fragmentation munitions were dropped from a UAV, the governor added. In all cases, no one was hurt, there was no damage.
