From 2005 to 2013, Sergei Guriev was the rector of NES. After starting an investigation into the lawyers and economists who issued an expert opinion on the second Yukos case, he left for France. From 2015 to 2019, Mr. Guriev was chief economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In 2022, he was appointed vice-rector of Sciences Po.
