Eco-routes with a length of more than 1.6 kilometers have appeared in Yauza Park

Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the capital government Pyotr Biryukov said that the city continues to implement a large-scale project to create a new green multifunctional recreation area. In particular, eco-routes with a total length of more than 1.6 kilometers have been developed in the Yauza Park in the northeast.
According to Biryukov, the eco-trail has become one of four thematic routes being created along the entire floodplain of the Yauza and Chermyanka rivers.
In 2023, landscaping took place in four areas, including along Sukhonskaya Street and Olonetsky Proezd, the deputy mayor said. The length of the section laid along the left bank of the Yauza from the Olonetsky passage was more than 850 meters.
“In places where flooding was previously observed, the structure was raised,” Biryukov said. He also stated that the eco-trail was built into a single pedestrian space of the park, and said that two bridges had been repaired to connect with the other bank.
“Part of this route is a beautiful staircase, which is decorated with a white colonnade,” the deputy mayor added. He said that a viewing platform with an area of over 240 square meters was built on the side of Sukhonskaya Street.
Another eco-route with two observation platforms with a total area of almost 100 square meters appeared around the existing pond – a bioplato.
