Ebeko volcano in the Kuril Islands threw out ash 3 km high

The Kamchatka Response Team recorded an ash plume 3 km high on the Ebeko volcano, located on the Kuril Island of Paramushir. The plume spread in a northeasterly direction for a distance of more than 5 km., informs Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sakhalin Region.
The release was recorded at 14:30 local time (6:30 Moscow time). The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations claims that the smell of hydrogen sulfide is not felt, there is no threat to the life of the population.
The height of the Ebeko volcano is 1156 m. Regular emissions have been going on since 2016. A record release was recorded on August 31, 2018: then a column of smoke rose to a height of 6 km.
