The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU) suspended Artem Dziuba, a conditional striker of the Moscow Lokomotiv club, for two matches. This was announced by the head of the FTC RFU Artur Grigoryants.
“The FTC RFU decided to disqualify Dzyuba for two matches conditionally and impose a fine of 50 thousand rubles. The trial period is calculated until the end of the 2022/23 season. Dzyuba can only appeal against a fine,” said Mr. Grigoryants.
On August 12, after the match of the fourth round of the Russian Premier League between Lokomotiv and Krasnodar, Artem Dzyuba rudely answered Vitaly Borodin, a journalist from RB Sport. He asked Dziuba if he was not offended to hear from coach Igor Shalimov that he would not score more than two goals from a field game in the autumn part of the Russian championship.
“Listen, you’ll be fine. I’ll stick my phone in one place for you. You understood me? If you come again. I warned you for the last time. Then it will hurt you. You understood me? Once again, you’ll come up with such a question … ”, the football player said in response.
August 14 FTC RS started checking this incident.
