Dzhigarkhanyan’s son, who returned from the USA, was shocked by prices in Russian stores

“It is amazing”
Stepan Dzhigarkhanyan, who has been living in the United States for a long time, suddenly appeared in Moscow. In Russia, the heir of the famous actor does not have to be bored. Stepan takes care of his elderly mother, meets friends and attends social events. But most of all he is struck by Russian shops. Stepan admitted to MK correspondents that he does not observe such an abundance in the United States.
“I arrived in Russia recently, so for now I can only speak for Moscow,” says Stepan. – If earlier the prices for products in Russia differed from the United States by about two times, now the price tag in Moscow is simply several times lower. It is amazing!
In the last year and a half, inflation in the United States has become simply terrible. The cost of the US food basket has increased several times.
If in Moscow I pay a little more than 300 rubles for a kilogram of chicken fillet, then in America it is more than a thousand in terms of Russian money. And US prices continue to rise. How Russia manages to contain inflation, although it also exists here, is a big mystery to me.
“A separate moment is the assortment of goods,” Stepan continues. – Despite the sanctions, the stores are just full of everything: eyes run wide. The range of products is much larger than in the same America. True, this cannot be said about manufactured goods and equipment – in Moscow there is less choice. Here, probably, the sanctions knocked down.
