Dynamo were stronger in the Astrakhan water polo derby

In the first match of the 12th round of the championship of the men’s Russian water polo Super League, the leader of the tournament “Dynamo-SSHOR” tested its double – the SSHOR team of the Astrakhan region. The Blue and White confidently beat the competition outsider – 19:9.
The outcome of this fight could have been easily predicted in advance. Still, Dynamo, albeit in many ways unexpectedly, are leading in the Super League championship. But the young students of the Astrakhan SShOR have not yet scored a single point in the tournament and occupy last place.
The first 2 quarters of the reporting match ended with the same score 6:1 in favor of the older Astrakhan water polo players. In the 3rd 8 minutes there was already a struggle, Dynamo won with a minimal advantage – 4:3. And the final segment of the match was completely left to the young Astrakhan team – 4:3. But this, of course, could not affect the overall result, 19:9 – a victory for the main Astrakhan team. The most productive member of Dynamo-SSHOR was Valery Rachitelev, who hit the goal of his young fellow countrymen 5 times.
On January 17, the Astrakhan teams will have a repeat match between themselves.
