Krasnodar stadium “Dynamo” solemnly opened after reconstruction on August 12. Large-scale events were timed to coincide with the Day of the Athlete.
The opening was attended by the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Yury Burlachko and the Minister of Sports of the region Serafim Timchenko. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies and the Dynamo society, Kuban athletes, heads of municipalities and Krasnodar residents themselves.
Veniamin Kondratiev noted that the opening of the stadium was a long-awaited event for everyone. But despite the difficult path, the complex still managed to be opened for the centenary of the Dynamo society.
“Great athletes trained here. I am sure that the spirit of the victorious Dynamo traditions will be preserved and multiplied. And our stadium will open new bright sports names,” the governor emphasized.
Also, according to the head of the region, new sports facilities and a green zone will soon appear near Dynamo. The Governor inspected the renovated complex and talked with the participants of the Strength in Movement and Unity festival, which took place at the site opened after the reconstruction. “The stadium began to live,” said Kondratiev.
In addition, in a four-story complex designed for practicing several sports at once, on August 12, the leaders of the Kuban Youth Spartakiad were awarded. For the first time in the history of the tournament, a team from Sochi became the winner of the competition.
The merits of both athletes and Dynamo veterans were noted. Athletes received various awards.
Recall that the grand opening was also held on the Day of the Athlete bust located at the entrance to the stadium. The monument is dedicated to the Kuban Olympic champion Lyudmila Bragina.
