Dynamo lost to Fakel the match on the 100th anniversary of the club

Fakel Voronezh is the only club in the RPL who has never won away from home in the 2022/23 championship. They practically did not win away games all last season in the FNL. The football players of Dmitry Pyatibratov were in Moscow, it was in the match of the century that Dynamo interrupted this unpleasant statistic and showed Slavisha Jokanovic and the white-and-blue millionaires their place in Russian football. If you lose at home on such a day and to such an opponent – the coach, it’s time (even after losing to Akron in the Cup) to write a letter of resignation, and #resin-Zakharians to play in the sandbox, in my opinion.

“The mortified nerve and Dynamo’s goalless game 0:2 from Fakel should be the verdict for Jokanovic” – this is how the most cited sports journalist Igor Rabiner titled his report about this shameful match for a club with a century of history. The general director of Dynamo Pivovarov either needs to learn how to read and count, or write a letter of resignation himself, and not dishonor the glorious name of Lev Yashin’s club.

Metropolitan Dynamo (as a club) really did their best on the day of the match for the centenary of the blue and white society. Before the starting whistle, the audience was presented with a new version of the club anthem, Dynamo players took to the field in a special retro uniform, and during the break of the match, 15,000 fans witnessed a gorgeous light show. The CENTURY match was attended by well-known veterans of the blue and whites, as well as star fans of the team, including legendary commentator Viktor Gusev and figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva. Vladimir Matveev (89-year-old Dynamo player, who won eight team championships) and Dmitry Alexandrov (a graduate of the academy and leader of the Dynamo youth team) struck the starting symbolic blow to the ball. But the team didn’t please their fans, moreover, the Dynamo players mediocrely “leaked” the game to the Voronezh players, who deserve only positive epithets for being a team of like-minded people on the emerald lawn of the stadium in Petrovsky Park, named after Lev Yashin.

The sports component of the game: Dynamo needed to win the match held on the days of the celebration of the centenary, and Fakel needed a victory to “escape” from the direct relegation zone. Slavisha Jokanovic once again (so many questions have already been asked about this to the Serbian specialist) left Konstantin Tyukavin on the bench (he released only in the second half), and Dmitry Pyatibratov lost an important midfielder (due to the bust of mustard plasters) Irakli Kvekveskiri.

For the first 45 minutes, Dynamo forgot to enter the field. Neither Smolov, nor Makarov, nor Fomin, nor Zakharyan bothered at least once to disturb the Voronezh goalkeeper Svinov. “Torch” looked worthy against the backdrop of sleepy Dynamo, although he himself did not create a single moment near the gates of Shunin.

After a colorful laser show during the break of the match, the hosts fell asleep at all. But Fakel made a game, disgracing Dynamo in front of their own fans in a match with such a historical background. Georgy Gongadze, when he opened the scoring in the match, did not receive any resistance from the Dynamo defense. A football projectile flew over the hosts’ goalkeeper a couple of times, the Voronezh player calmly took aim and forced Shunin to capitulate with a radio-controlled strike. Dynamo defenders in this episode continued to watch the same light show.

Then Dynamo equalized with Zakharyan’s efforts. But the guests rightly appealed to the referee of the match, Artem Lyubimov, and he really canceled the goal due to the fact that in the final phase of the attack, the Dynamo player “mowed down” Kalinin from Voronezh. On VAR, this was clearly visible.

The most disgraceful Dynamo match in its century-old history ended with the most ridiculous, like the club’s game under Jokanovic, a “bring” from Kutitsky. Why did the Dynamo player play volleyball in his penalty area when the leather sphere flew out of bounds – even a hundred academicians cannot explain. The referee looked at the “TV” and pointed to the “dot”. The verdict from the penalty spot was clearly implemented by Gongadze.

Tyukavin and Grulev, who entered the field, forced the guests’ goalkeeper Svinov to show miracles of goalkeeping a couple of times – but that’s all Dynamo was able to do. And as the quintessence of the entire disastrous season of the club under #pivarov-jokanovic – Shunin’s “assault” to Skopintsev’s face, after the goalkeeper of the hosts saved his team from the third goal of “Torch”.

My question to Dynamo coach Jokanovic is still the same: “To whom and how should the team still lose, that you resigned?”

And about sore points – the words of the best RPL coach of the last couple of years, Sergei Semak, about Fan ID: “Here, the issue is not the complexity of the design, but the rejection of this decision by the fans. This is the main junction that prevents them from coming and watching football. The principle is on. That without discussion they made a decision that is incomprehensible. We hope and believe that the football authorities and the leadership of the country will find a way out of this situation. We want to see active fans at the stadium.”

So maybe it’s time to solve the issue of the age of the fans at the stadiums?
