Dynamo Moscow forward Nikita Gusev broke the KHL record for the most points in one regular season in a home match against Admiral Vladivostok. Now he has 86 points in 67 matches – 23 goals and 63 assists.
Nikita Gusev scored a record point with an assist in overtime during the match, which took place in Moscow. Dynamo beat Admiral with a score of 4:3.
In the past, the KHL record for points scored was set by former Metallurg Magnitogorsk forward Sergei Mozyakin. In the 2016/17 season, he finished the regular season with 85 points – 48 goals + 37 assists.
31-year-old Nikita Gusev became the first player in KHL history to score 80 points in two regular championships. He is an Olympic champion in 2018 and a two-time bronze medalist at the world championships.
