“Dynamo didn’t need any build-up” – Kommersant FM

Dynamo Moscow got a chance to compete for leadership in the Russian Football Championship. On March 3, the team beat Lokomotiv with a score of 2:1. At the same time, the leaders of the standings – Krasnodar and Zenit – lost points. Now Dynamo is in third place, two points behind Zenit and four points behind Krasnodar. Kommersant FM sports commentator Vladimir Osipov followed the developments in the matches of the 19th round of the RPL.
When talking about who will be the champion this season – Krasnodar or Zenit – they somehow forgot about Dynamo. But immediately after the winter break, the leaders did not impress. Zenit could not beat Spartak at home, the match ended in a draw – 0:0. And “Krasnodar” gave an even score at home with “Rubin” – 1:1. Dynamo didn’t need any build-up.
Yes, perhaps this is Lokomotiv’s fault, whose players, it seemed, had not yet returned from vacation. But the blue-and-whites turned up the heat, and for the lion’s share of the time it seemed that Marcel Lička’s team was playing not with Loko, but with one of the obvious outsiders. Therefore, when Dynamo scored the second goal, commentator Konstantin Genich remembered the famous phrase from the famous Soviet film: “Dynamo is running!”
It is difficult to answer this, that everyone is running, now. So far, there are few teams that can be wholeheartedly praised for the work done in the off-season. As for Dynamo, Lička’s training during long breaks is legendary. Allegedly, he gives such a load to his wards that not everyone can stand it. Denis Makarov, the scorer of Dynamo’s second goal, spoke about this after the game: “First of all, training is aimed at the physical condition of the players and the team’s tactics.
We ran a lot, worked a lot on tactical tasks. And today, I think the coach is pleased with how we carried over what we worked at the training camp into the season.”
Therefore, it is not surprising that immediately after the victory over Lokomotiv, there was a lot of talk about Dynamo participating in the championship race. Now it’s difficult to argue with this, but we shouldn’t forget that Dynamo were again not very convincing in the end. In the last minutes, Loko scored a goal and, with some luck, could have evened the score. Dynamo had difficulties in the endings last year as well. But if the blue and white really fight for the championship, then this will only make the tournament more interesting. Football expert Dmitry Bulykin has virtually no doubt about the incredible outcome of the season:
“Dynamo is claiming. They are all nearby. I think they will compete with both Krasnodar and Zenit. At least, I would like it to be like this.
You need intrigue, like in the Premier League, where the difference between teams is one or two points, and everything can turn upside down after each game.”
The 19th round was also not without scandals. The behavior of Spartak coach Guillermo Abascal, who went to watch the Zenit-Spartak game in the capital, was actively discussed. It seems like at the Gazprom Arena the disqualified coach was not given a comfortable place to watch the match. After this, talk about the Spaniard’s resignation became even louder, but so far there is no official information.
In principle, nothing has been lost in the fight for medals. Spartak, which is in fourth place, is four points behind Dynamo. So did Lokomotiv, which scored the same points as the red-whites. It is worth saying that CSKA is two points behind them, although it occupies seventh place. So the standings are still very tight. The next round of the RPL starts on March 8, and if now the loss of points by teams can still be attributed to a long break, then in a week such excuses are unlikely to convince the fans.
