How reported Press service of the Atlantic Philanthropies Charitable Foundation, on Monday, October 9, an American businessman and philanthropist of Irish origin, Charles Feeney, one of the founders of the global chain of Duty Free stores, passed away in San Francisco.
It is clarified that Feeney died at the age of 93. The causes of death have not yet been made public.
During his lifetime, he gave almost all of his money ($8 billion) to charity, creating for these purposes he organized a group of charitable foundations.
