Durov: Apple delayed the release of a new Telegram update for two weeks

Russian programmer, billionaire Pavel Durov said that Apple delayed the release of a new Telegram update for two weeks without explanation. According to the creator of the messenger, the update should “revolutionize the way people express their thoughts in messages.”
“If Telegram is subjected to such treatment, one can only imagine the difficulties small projects face,” he wrote in his personal channel. This causes direct financial damage to hundreds of thousands of mobile applications around the world, Durov expressed sympathy.
According to the entrepreneur, Apple and Google are also hurting by taking a 30% commission from developers. He notes, however, that regulators in the European Union and elsewhere are gradually beginning to look into these abuses. “But the economic damage that Apple has already caused to the technology industry will not be repaired,” the programmer said.
Durov said the vague vetting process imposed by the tech monopolies is discouraging and demoralizing for those subjected to multiple vetting.
At the same time, he admitted that he loves his job: “What could be more interesting than improving the way hundreds of millions of people communicate?”
