The spring draft may include two summonses at once – paper and electronic, said the head of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov. According to him, “there’s nothing wrong with that.”
He clarified that in this case, you need to go to the military registration and enlistment office on a paper summons. The deputy assured that the paper and electronic summonses are completely identical. “What is written in the electronic one is also written in the paper one,” Mr. Kartapolov explained to RIA Novosti.
In April 2023, President Vladimir Putin signed the law on creation of a unified register military registration, which allows you to notify conscripts using electronic summons. The summons is considered served from the moment it appears in your personal account. From this day on, the conscript is prohibited from traveling abroad; after 20 days, other restrictions will be imposed on him – on driving a car and processing real estate transactions.
From January 1, 2024, the upper limit of conscription age in Russia was raised to 30 years, while the lower limit remained at 18 years. The spring military conscription began on April 1 and will last until July 15.
