During the charity event “Mishkopad,” the hockey club “Salavat Yulaev” collected four million rubles, which it will donate to the treatment of one-year-old Adela Yusupova, who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The girl was diagnosed at one year and seven months.
“The parents noticed that the baby began to limp on her left leg, then the temperature rose, which lasted for several days,” the hockey club said. – The family went to the district hospital, they said that Adele’s tests were very bad and they immediately hospitalized her. In the hospital, the girl’s temperature continued to rise and a rash appeared on her body. The doctors said it was chickenpox and sent the mother and child to be treated at home.
But at home the baby only got worse. Then the parents insisted that the child be sent for examination to Ufa. The capital’s doctors suspected that it was not an infection and transferred the girl to the onco-hematology department. There she was immediately diagnosed.
To date, Adela has already undergone several blocks of chemotherapy. But, unfortunately, complete remission has not yet been achieved.
“Now the baby needs the expensive medicine Blincyto, which has saved many children with the most difficult cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia,” added the Salavat Yulaev HC. – One bottle of the drug costs 185,412 rubles; Adele needs 12 bottles for the full course of treatment.
