Partial traffic restrictions are expected on Bauman Street in Kazan. According to the city administration, the measure is being taken in connection with the Steep Descent ski festival. The restriction will be in effect for five days. From 18:00 on March 6, the Bauman section from Profsoyuznaya Street to Bezymyanny Descent will be blocked. However, vehicles with special passes issued in a form approved by the Directorate of Sports and Social Projects will not be affected by the restrictions. They promise to launch a full-fledged movement after 18:00 on March 11.
The “Steep Descent” ski festival will be the first event of its kind in Kazan. The event itself will take place on Sunday, March 10, near the Kazan Kremlin. 100-meter long tracks will be equipped for participants, and a ski jump will be organized for professional athletes. There will also be a separate slope for fans of this sport.
