DTEK CEO Timchenko urged Ukrainians to leave the country before the onset of winter

Citizens of Ukraine should be ready, if possible, to leave the country before the onset of winter in 2022. This was stated in an interview with the BBC by the head of DTEK Maxim Timchenko.
At the same time, Timchenko noted that this is not an emergency when you need to immediately evacuate. Nevertheless, Ukrainians need to organize everything so that consumption is as efficient as possible.
Previously Ukrainian government warned Western allies that it expects increased Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure in the coming days. It is alleged that Kyiv does not have enough spare parts to restore heat and electricity supply if this happens.
Formerly Director of the Ukrainian Center for Energy Research Alexander Kharchenko said that if a blackout occurs in Ukraine, the country’s energy system can be restored in 3-10 days.
In addition, the president of the Kyivstar telecom operator Alexander Komarov reported that “islands” could appear in Ukraine, where mobile communications work, while the rest of the places will remain without communication.
