“According to preliminary information, at night in Kursk, a drone crashed into an apartment building on the street. Karl Marx. Windows were shattered on some floors,” he wrote.

According to the governor, the blast also damaged several windows in the building of the engineering faculty of the Kursk State Agrarian University, located on the same street. There was no fire, there were no casualties among the residents, Starovoit specified. There is an assessment of the damage caused, the authorities promise to help in the restoration of property.

On the night of August 20, a Ukrainian drone flew into the roof of the railway station building in Kursk, after which a fire broke out there. The governor of the region then reported that five people were injured from glass fragments.

The Kursk region is regularly attacked by Ukraine. A high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat operates in the region indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a “medium response level” has been established in the region.
