Coaches and athletes of the Donetsk People’s Republic, who are currently at training camps in Chuvashia, speak highly of the conditions provided to them here.
“In Chuvashia, the conditions are as favorable as possible, we are glad that we were met at the highest level and were provided with everything we needed. Unfortunately, in our region we still have problems with the training process, and this is due to the political situation and lack of water. Here we have the opportunity to train 2 times a day, and many children will be able to experience for themselves how the real training process works,” said Dmitry Pozhidaev, senior coach of the Dynamo sports school (Donetsk).
The swimming coach of Donetsk sports school No. 6, Vladimir Guzhva, also agrees with him.
“Chuvashia provided us with good conditions for training, and we are very pleased that the training program is quite rich, because the younger generation needs diversified development. They really remembered the sightseeing tour of the city, I think they will have warm memories of Chuvashia,” Guzhva said.
As reported, 44 athletes and 6 coaches from the DPR arrived in Cheboksary. Among the athletes are swimmers and track and field athletes. Swimmers, track and field athletes and their mentors took part in the two-week training camp.
