The illness of figure skater Roman Kostomarov proved to be much more serious than initially expected. Olympic champion and wife of the athlete Oksana Domnina shared this in the “Free program” podcast on Channel One.
According to the wife, at first she hoped that nothing bad would happen.
“…it turned out to be much more complicated and difficult. And the test that was given to Roman, me and our entire family – we go through it, we live it, we try to accept it,” said Domnina.
Before this, it was reported that Roman Kostomarov skated for the first time after amputation and prosthetics. He posted a video from the class on his Telegram channel. The athlete also announced a documentary about himself, which is due to be released on March 8. According to Kostomarov, a big movie will be dedicated to his life, but he has not yet revealed the name of the film.
