During pregnancy, it is better to give up pates, soft cheeses and some other products. This was told by an obstetrician-gynecologist, head of the consultative and diagnostic department of the perinatal center of the City Clinical Hospital No. Vorokhobov Lusine Danielyan.
The expert noted that it is useful for pregnant women to eat green and orange vegetables, meat, fish, legumes, nuts, whole grains and fruits. All this must be in the diet.
You should avoid, among other things, ripened soft cheeses, pates, unpasteurized milk, poorly thermally processed meats and eggs. Such foods are sources of salmonellosis and listeriosis, Danielian warned. You should not overindulge in foods rich in vitamin A, such as beef, chicken liver.
She also strongly advises against practicing vegetarianism during pregnancy.
“According to current medical recommendations and clinical research results, vegetarianism increases the risk of fetal growth retardation during pregnancy,” the doctor said.
In addition, you should reduce your caffeine intake. You should not drink more than two cups of coffee a day, otherwise the risk of having small children or terminating a pregnancy will increase.
