Between the Crimea and the mainland of Russia, the movement of cars was restored along the Crimean bridge, damaged as a result of the terrorist attack in Ukraine. So far, the passage is carried out in a reverse format, and at the same time, a ferry service for buses and trucks is operating. Now there are almost 800 vehicles in the queue for the bridge, in both directions, and the waiting time exceeds two hours. MK learned about what was happening there.

On the Crimean bridge, cars are allowed in columns and from two sides towards the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, but traffic is open so far only for cars. They go from one side, then from the other. Drivers must move on the bridge at a speed not exceeding 20 kilometers per hour and keep a distance of 80 meters.

Despite the fact that yesterday there were reports in the media about the start of the crossing on car ferries, today only drivers of heavy trucks can use it: according to the Ministry of Transport, on Tuesday, the Kerch crossing operates “as usual, ferries carry trucks and passengers of scheduled and sightseeing buses. At the same time, priority is given to cargo with perishable products. Now 80 trucks are waiting for loading onto the ferry, standing on storage sites.

Before crossing the bridge, drivers of passenger cars, as before, undergo a full inspection procedure, as before the terrorist attack. For some, it passes quickly, within ten minutes, while others have to wait. Now there are 50 inspection posts in the Temryuk district. Nearly two dozen dry closets have been installed along the route, and three water distribution points have been organized.

According to motorists, the entrance to the bridge from the side of the mainland takes place in two or three rows: from twenty to fifty cars enter from one row, but the situation changes periodically. Let each row in turn.

“In order to get on the ferry from Crimea, we stood in line to the sump for three hours,” says Natalya, “as soon as we heard how much more to stand there, we turned around and went to the bridge. The inspection lasted exactly six minutes, and we were sent in a column across the bridge. We went in an organized and fast manner.”

“Do not rush to the ferry, this is a waste of time,” says Yuri, “I killed 5 hours there, and left for the bridge. An hour and a half later on Taman. Actually, it was at 4 am. Now acquaintances are standing in a traffic jam in front of the bridge, they say it’s there for two hours. ”

Among the drivers there are many who are not accustomed to respect other people on the road. In an attempt to reduce the travel time, they go around the line, trying to squeeze in front. “We are standing in front of the bridge from the side of Kerch, we are waiting,” Anna, a resident, complains, “Yandex shows a traffic jam for several hours. All cars stand in two rows, although you only need to drive on the left. DPS periodically drives everyone into the left lane, but the most impatient ones still drive on the right.

In front of our eyes, the Grant and the jeep drove around the entire traffic jam and squeezed in. Well, what kind of people, if only they were fined here, it’s not a pity for such auto boors. ”

Drivers also argue about whether cars with children and the disabled should be allowed through. “If a child with a disability travels for treatment, examination, surgery, then this child is accompanied by a medical worker, sometimes even transportation is carried out in specialized vehicles. AND! Approaching such places (checkpoints), employees are provided with relevant documents confirming the fact that it is difficult for a child and it is contraindicated to stay for a long time, so to speak, in a traffic jam. And then, under the accompanying escort of employees, you are first of all let through without any queues.

In other cases, without having confirming privileges, you are equated with the rest of the participants in the movement, and alas, no one is obliged to give in or let pass. Such is the harsh reality, if only to count on the indulgence of the next, but even then it is not a fact that it will be.
