The Ukrainian counter-offensive began already a few days ago, it was carefully planned. This statement was made on Monday, June 12, French President Emmanuel Macron.
According to the politician, the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) should last several weeks or months, while Kiev’s Western allies “did everything to help carry it out within the framework outlined by us since the beginning of the conflict.”
Concretizing this framework, Macron said that the goals of the counter-offensive are “to punish Russia, to stop its military efforts, to help Ukraine resist and retake territory, but never attack Russia and avoid any form of escalation of this conflict.”
Although Kyiv and its Western allies claim that Ukraine only defends and defends itself during hostilities, in reality, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have repeatedly attacked Russian territory, killing and injuring civilians.
Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed to militarily pointless strikesinflicted by the Ukrainian army on residential areas and humanitarian facilities.
