Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic will be able to take part in the US Open, as the US Senate supported the lifting of restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus, reports Sky Sports. Due to these restrictions, the athlete has not been allowed into the United States since 2021. The Senate-approved bill is expected to be signed by President Joe Biden shortly.
Djokovic has not been vaccinated against coronavirus, and in March he refused at the entrance to the USA. In the States, he was supposed to take part in two tournaments – in Indian Wells, which will be held March 8-19, as well as in the Miami Open from March 22 to April 2. In the end he refused from participating in both.
