The jury has unveiled its selection of sixteen novels, including Sandrine Collette, Brigitte Giraud and Claudie Hunzinger. Sixteen authors make up the list of foreign novels.
Like every year, in September, the grand ball of literary prizes opens. Tuesday, the Goncourt jury unveiled its first list, yesterday it was the turn of Renaudot, and now here is the selection of the Femina prize. The jurors selected sixteen French authors and sixteen foreigners.
The jury gives pride of place to confirmed authors as well as to major publishing houses. Grégoire Bouillier and Yves Ravey are faultless by being each present on the three most important lists of the prizes for the start of the school year (Renaudot, Goncourt and now, the Femina). Only one first novelist is in the running, it is Polina Panassenko.
Among the writers in the running, many are already present on several lists. This is the case of Christophe Ono-Dit-Biot, Sandrine Collette, Sybille Grimbert, all on the Renaudot and Brigitte Giraud, on the December price. Our collaborator Thierry Clermont is also in the running with Long Island, Baby.
The authors competing for the Femina for high school students are: Sandrine Collette, Brigitte Giraud, Sybille Grimbert, Claudie Hunzinger, Oriane Jeancourt-Galignani, Christophe Ono-Dit-Biot, Polina Panassenko, Yves Ravey, Lucie Rico and Anne-Sophie Subilia.
The jury will unveil its next lists on October 4 and 25. The award ceremony will take place on November 7 at the Carnavalet Museum.
