Discord is now available on PlayStation 5

An update has been released for the PlayStation 5 console, in which appeared integration with the voice service Discord. Connection is carried out using a mobile phone, at the moment you can only use voice chat – text correspondence is not yet available.
Integration with Discord will allow owners of the PlayStation 5 to communicate with users not only PS5, but also other consoles and PCs. In the released update, it was also possible to record video with gameplay using a voice command. There is also now a local transfer function between different PlayStation 5, as well as support for dynamic screen refresh rate technology for screens with a resolution of 1440p.
In May 2021, Sony bought a stake in Discord after Microsoft failed to negotiate a purchase of the voice service. On Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, Discord arrived in mid-2022, now on Xbox you can connect to Discord directly without a mobile phone or PC.
