Disabled residents of Vologda won two medals at the Russian Fencing Cup

Three Vologda athletes represent the region at the Russian Fencing Cup. Persons with lesions of the musculoskeletal system participate in these competitions. Over 60 people from 12 regions of the country came to Ufa to compete for medals.
The day before, on December 6, there were competitions in several disciplines, and Vologda residents won awards. So, Alexander Kurzin climbed to the second line of the podium in fencing on a sword (category “B”), and his countryman Dmitry Belyaev achieved the same results on a foil (category “C”). Thus, in the piggy bank of the representatives of the Vologda region there are already two silver medals. These medals may not be the last, as the tournament will last until December 12th.
It is also worth noting the success of the Sokol athletes who took part in the All-Russian freestyle wrestling competitions in Tikhvin among young people aged 15-16 years. The young men competed with wrestlers from 10 cities.
Having shown all their skills, the Falconers also took home two medals. Alexander Gusev became the best in the weight category up to 60 kilograms. In addition to the medal, he also received a financial reward in the amount of five thousand rubles. And another athlete from Sokol, Artur Mosenkov, won silver in the category up to 48 kg.
