Director General of Rosatom structure accused of particularly large bribes

“Kommersant” spoke about the details of the criminal case that is being conducted against the Director General of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “National Operator for the Management of Radioactive Waste” (NO RAO), lieutenant colonel of the FSB reserve Igor Igin.
According to the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR), Igin is accused of taking bribes in the amount of 132.5 million rubles from the management of the St. Petersburg LLC Spetsproekt. These bribes were provided for the signing of four government contracts valid between 2018 and 2021, as well as for the promise of signing new contracts in the future. The main charges also concern the general director of the LLC, his deputy and financial director, who allegedly participated in the provision of bribes and assisted in this crime.
At the moment, Igor Igin is in custody. According to a court decision, he will be held in a pre-trial detention center until September 24. Igin denies his guilt.
