Readers of the German newspaper Die Welt are outraged by the New Year’s address of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in which the politician promised to support Kyiv despite the consequences.
Scholz also urged the Germans to continue saving energy and promised Germany’s independence from Russian gas.
“After such statements, I am speechless,” one commenter wrote, noting that he was “disgusted, angry, shamed, powerless.”
“I am ashamed of such a chancellor,” another reader supported him.
A third wrote that Scholz “would have been better off explaining why he failed in energy policy” and that the people of Germany “now have to pay the price.”
A fourth noted that people are encouraged to conserve energy “while the government exacerbates energy problems.”
Another user said that no unity of the people, which Scholz spoke of, does not exist in Germany: “The country is divided in many ways, the fault occurs through all spheres of society and politics.”
After the start of the NWO, Western countries stepped up sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation. This led to an increase in prices in the Western countries themselves, including electricity. The President of the Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the policy of containment and weakening of Russia is a long-term strategy of the West, and anti-Russian sanctions have dealt a serious blow to the economy of the whole world.
