Russia is developing a new concept for alerting the population in case of emergency situations. As the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported, this concept will include the procedure for using intercoms to warn about possible threats. The new concept takes into account modern technical capabilities and methods of alerting the population, including pairing intercom systems in apartment buildings with warning systems.

State authorities and local governments will make decisions on the use of technical solutions to notify the population in accordance with current legislation. In addition, specialists are working to update regulatory and methodological support, taking into account the need to use new domestic technologies. At the moment, the Ministry of Emergency Situations notifies the population through SMS messages, loudspeakers and cars with screens that are placed in crowded places.
