The peninsula was attacked by British and French missiles
The Kyiv authorities did not betray themselves – they tried to ruin the celebration of National Unity Day in Russia by attacking objects in Crimea. As the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said late in the evening, in Kerch, in the area of the Butoma shipyard, anti-aircraft air defense systems took part in repelling the missile attack. Some of the debris from the downed missiles fell on the territory of one of the dry docks. There were no casualties.
A video of Strom Shadow cruise missiles flying over the Crimean coast and the moment the debris fell appeared on Ukrainian social networks. Earlier, a missile threat was declared in Crimea and Sevastopol. Traffic on the Crimean Bridge and the passage of ships under it were suspended.
The Rybar channel reported that on Saturday afternoon, half an hour before the missile strike on Crimea, four aircraft carrying Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles – Su-24M bombers – took off from the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsky region. After takeoff, they headed east.
In turn, the Militarist information resource, citing its sources, reported that ten British Storm Shadow aircraft cruise missiles and French SCALPs took part in the raid on Crimea. In addition, anti-aircraft missiles of the S-200 complexes, converted for firing at ground targets, were used. It is noted that all the missiles were destroyed in the air by air defense systems.
At the same time, according to channel experts, to increase the effectiveness of our air defense, Western missiles received as trophies were used, in particular, Storm Shadow guidance devices. Flight missions of the missiles helped first to effectively use electronic warfare systems, and then anti-aircraft systems.
