Nikita Dubas has a chance to change his preventive measure
The defense of Nikolai Dubas, the organizer of underground excursions, who was arrested on Wednesday evening in connection with the death of a group of tourists in the collector of the Neglinka River, will probably appeal against the election of a strict preventive measure. As it became known to MK, there are grounds for this for medical reasons.
According to our data, Dubas suffers from diabetes and needs constant medication. In addition, according to unofficial information, Dubas provides material assistance to two small children of two women with whom he was closely acquainted. True, he is not officially the father of these kids. In addition, Dubas has an elderly mother who lives in Belarus (his father died long ago). However, it is unlikely that these arguments will influence the decision of the court.
Recall that Dubas and Alexander Kim are two defendants in the case of the death of 8 people in an underground sewer in the center of Moscow. The main culprit of the tragedy is the guide Konstantin Filippov, who also died. According to one version, when water began to rise sharply into the collector, the guide panicked and made the wrong decision. Instead of trying to climb the stairs or take cover in one of the side tunnels, he led the group back against the current of the underground river. As a result, all people were simply carried away by a powerful stream.
