Recently, an unusual story happened to a fighter from Transbaikalia, who is fighting in the NVO zone. Details informs website KP.RU. A man with the call sign “Tungus” from the “Yenisei” battalion shot down an enemy drone. And this fact could be considered as an ordinary event in the NWO, if you do not know that he shot him down not with a weapon, but … with a bag of food!

The details of the incident were given in his telegram channel by the governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory Alexander Osipov.

And it was like that. The fighter did the night shift in the trench and in the morning went to get dry rations. He threw two bags of provisions over his shoulder and began to return back to his position. However, on the way back, I spotted a small-sized Ukrainian kamikaze drone in the sky.

Further, as the governor said, the Tungus fighter hid in the grass so that the Ukrainian military drone driver would lose him.

“After that, our Transbaikalian took advantage of the effect of surprise.” Namely, he abruptly stood up and “knocked down the device, which was three meters from the ground, with a bag of food.” “Ataman of the Cossack army presented the Tungus to the medal “For Courage”. We are proud! – wrote the governor Alexander Osipov.

The fighter, of course, is worthy of all praise for military ingenuity and reaction. However, KP-Irkutsk decided to find out from an expert – a senior signalman and operator of unmanned aerial vehicles – whether it is possible to shoot down a drone with a bag. He explained that, “in principle, this is possible.”

But just from hitting the bag, the drone will not fall. “You need to hit exactly the blades so that they get tangled. This is the weak point of the UAV,” the signalman explained. He added that in this case, apparently, that’s what happened: the fabric of the bag hit the right place, that is, in the blade. “I think a couple of cans of canned food and apples would be enough for such a maneuver,” he added. But most often, drones are shot down with a double-barreled gun.

The signalman also noted that he was surprised by the flight of the drone at such a low distance from the ground, since “usually such drones hover at an altitude of 200 meters.” It is also surprising that the fighter managed to hide in the grass so that he was overlooked by the UAV controller. Based on this, the expert concluded that the drone was without a thermal imager. Otherwise, our fighter could not have gone unnoticed in the grass.

The governor of Transbaikalia also said that the Tungus was lucky twice: first, he managed to shoot down the drone, and then he also neutralized it along with his comrades who came to the rescue. A grenade was attached to the drone, the charge was blown up by colleagues. If the drone flew higher and fell, then the projectile would explode …

After the drone was shot down, the fighters disconnected it from the battery and took it to the battalion as a trophy.
